After months of negotiations, the Utah Player Association has reached a landmark agreement that expands health and mental wellness coverage to all registered members and their immediate families. The deal, which takes effect immediately, represents the largest single benefit expansion in UtahPA history.
The agreement was the result of sustained advocacy by UtahPA leadership working alongside partner organizations and healthcare providers across the state. The new plan includes no-cost primary care, specialist visits, and mental health sessions for all active members at the Pro and Platinum tier.
What's Included
Under the new agreement, members will have access to comprehensive medical coverage including emergency care, surgical procedures, physical therapy, and prescription drug coverage. Dental and vision benefits have also been extended to dependents for the first time.
Perhaps most significantly, mental health coverage has been expanded to include unlimited therapy sessions with licensed sports psychologists, recognizing the growing importance of mental wellness in athlete performance and life quality.
